Our approach

The voyage is the point. The casino is one room of it.

We choose ships, routes and cabins first by what makes the day: ports, sea days, cuisine, quiet. That there is a casino on board is something we check for every quote – opening hours, games, limits. It stays an option for the evening, never an obligation.

From the mountains to the sea

Switzerland has no sea. It does have the best way to get there.

As a landlocked country we are used to travelling to the sea – and have turned it into an art. The train leaves Zurich HB at eight, the light changes after the Gotthard, and in Genoa the ship is waiting. No airport, no baggage limit, no waiting. Just the moment when the sea appears behind the last bend.

Baggage limits

The railway knows no kilogram limit. The evening suit for the salon, the walking shoes for Kotor – everything comes along.

Train that starts the voyage

Getting there is part of the cruise. We quote the connection from your station with the voyage – seat reservation included.

Horizon

For people who grew up with mountains, a sea day is the rarest thing of all. That is why we plan it deliberately – as an event, not as dead time.

The salon after dinner

A different room. The same clear rules.

Dinner first. A time and money limit you set beforehand. A table if you feel like it – and then the deck, the show or the quiet of your cabin.

How it works

From request to cabin in three steps.

01

Tell us the direction, month, number of guests and cabin preference. It takes two minutes.

02

Within one working day you receive a concrete quote: ship, route, cabin, price in CHF, travel from your station.

03

Booking

You decide at your own pace. Nothing is booked until you confirm – with customer money protection under the Swiss Package Travel Act.

Your cabin

The last room of the night should feel like yours.

Interior, oceanview, balcony or suite – we confirm size, location and inclusions for the actual ship, not from brochure promises.

Frequently asked questions

What Swiss guests ask us most often.

See all questions
Is the casino included in the fare?

No. The fare covers the cruise line's services (cabin, meals as per fare, onboard programme). Gambling stakes in the casino are entirely separate and handled exclusively on board by the cruise line. We do not arrange gaming credit.

From what age can I visit the casino on board?

From 18, with valid ID. On ships departing from US ports the minimum age may be 21. The cruise itself can be booked for all ages; families are welcome.

When is the casino open?

Usually only at sea, outside territorial waters, and closed during port calls. The cruise line sets the exact hours and publishes them in the daily programme. Routes with more sea days mean longer opening hours.

Which currency is used on board?

Usually EUR or USD, depending on the cruise line. The onboard cashier informs you about exchange rates and fees. We recommend fixing a budget before the trip and taking only that.

Does my Swiss exclusion order apply on board?

No, not automatically. The ship's casino is subject to the law of the flag state, not the Swiss Gambling Act. Anyone excluded or self-excluded in Switzerland should avoid the ship's casino. Let us know – we will then leave any mention of casinos out of your advice.

Play in proportion

The limit is set before the evening, not during it.

Set a money and a time limit. Never borrow to gamble, never chase a loss – and ask the onboard staff for a break or exclusion when you need one.
