These terms govern the use of the website and the arrangement of cruises by Vela Alpina. The travel terms of the respective tour operator or cruise line additionally apply to the voyage itself.
1. Role of Vela Alpina
Vela Alpina arranges cruises and travel services from cruise lines, tour operators, rail and air carriers. Your contractual partner for the voyage is the respective operator; its travel terms are handed to you before booking.
2. Request and quote
Requests via this website are non-binding and free. A quote is valid until the stated date; availability and prices may change until booking.
3. Booking, prices and payment
The booking is concluded with your written confirmation of the quote and our booking confirmation. Prices are in CHF per person including the stated taxes. Deposit and balance follow the quote. The Swiss Federal Act on Package Travel (PRG) applies.
4. Customer money protection
Payments for package travel are protected against insolvency under Art. 18 PRG. Proof (security certificate with the name and contact of the guarantor) is provided with the booking confirmation.
5. Changes and cancellation
Changes and cancellations follow the operator's terms named in the quote. We recommend cancellation insurance.
6. Casino on board
The casino is a ship amenity of the cruise line and not part of the arranged travel service. Entry, opening hours, games, limits and currency are set by the cruise line under the law of the flag state. Vela Alpina guarantees neither entry nor availability, offers no gambling and accepts no stakes. Entry from 18.
7. Travel documents and health
You are responsible for valid travel documents (passport/ID, visas where required) and for complying with entry and health regulations. We inform you to the best of our knowledge.
8. Use of the website
Forms must not be misused, third-party data must not be submitted without authority and the service must not be disrupted. Content is protected by copyright.
9. Liability
Vela Alpina is liable for diligent arrangement. The operator is liable for the provision of travel services under the PRG and its terms.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. Place of jurisdiction is Zurich, subject to mandatory statutory venues. Ombudsman: Ombudsman of the Swiss Travel Industry, Zurich.
