18+ · Play in proportion

A boundary makes the room easier to leave.

Gambling is entertainment, never income. Set the money and the time before play and treat both limits as final.

01

Set the money.

Use only money you can spare after the trip and everyday commitments are covered. Never borrow to gamble.

02

Set the time.

Choose a leaving time before entering. Set an alarm, pause regularly and never extend to chase a result.

03

Notice the change.

Stop if play no longer feels like leisure, if you hide it, or if it affects sleep, relationships, work or money.

04

Ask for distance.

Speak to onboard staff about a break, an access restriction or self-exclusion with the cruise line. In Switzerland you can request an exclusion order at any casino (Art. 80 BGS).

Independent help

You do not need to wait for a crisis.

If gambling is becoming difficult, stop playing and contact an independent counselling service. SOS Spielsucht is free, anonymous and available around the clock throughout Switzerland – in German, French and Italian.

Further contacts: your cantonal addiction counselling centre, your family doctor, Swiss debt counselling (schulden.ch).

Remember

The casino does not change the value of the voyage.

A loss is not a debt to recover. A win does not make the next result more likely. Alcohol and fatigue make limits harder to keep. Knowing the rules guarantees nothing.

On request

Advice without casino references.

If you are excluded or simply not interested in casinos, tell us in your request. We will then advise you on the cruise only and leave out every reference to the ship's casino.
